Music is more fun with other people. Alongside our one-to-one lessons, AS Music School runs a huge variety of group classes for every age — from toddlers in our Early Learning groups to teen rock bands and adult folk circles. There really is something for everyone.
Our group classes
Early Learning Music Classes (ages 3 to 6)
30-minute group sessions for the very youngest beginners. A free starter pack of materials is included — a friendly, fun introduction to music.
Play-In-A-Band classes (ages 8 to 19)
30-minute weekly sessions for players and singers aged 8 to 19. Bands grouped by age and stage, playing a mix of rock, pop, blues and indie. Real performances throughout the year.
Adult Bands
Two adult bands, friendly and supportive, mixing experienced players with returners and adult beginners building up to it.
Rock & Blues Group
A more relaxed jam-style session for adults who want to play with other people without the structure of a band.
Adult Ukulele Group
Sociable, low-pressure, brilliant fun. A great way in to playing music with other people if you’ve never played before.
Folk Group
For adults who love folk music and want to play it with other folkies.
Accordion Group
Yes, really — and very lovely it is too.
Singing and musical theatre
Prefer to sing? We also run a Singing Group, a Musical Theatre Group and Couples Singing Lessons.
