ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Andrew — a singer, pianist, musical director, arranger and music educator with a passion for helping people discover their musical potential.
I trained as a classical singer at the University of Sheffield, graduating with a BMus (Hons) in Music. I also work regularly as a pianist, accompanist and répétiteur.
I have performed extensively in opera and musical theatre, with roles including Tony (West Side Story), Fagin (Oliver!), Marius (Les Misérables), Tamino (The Magic Flute) and Belmonte (The Abduction from the Seraglio).
Alongside performing, I conduct choirs and musically direct productions. I also compose music to support the delivery of the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 & 2 students and create bespoke arrangements for performing arts schools across the UK.
MY HOBBIES
Unsurprisingly, music takes up much of my spare time! I love singing, playing the piano, conducting, composing and arranging — particularly exploring harmony and bringing people together through choral music and musical theatre.
MY FAVOURITE COMPOSERS
I’m particularly drawn to composers who combine great vocal writing with powerful storytelling. My favourites include Handel, Mozart, Bernstein and Vaughan Williams — composers who truly understand the voice, drama and theatre.
