Latest News and Dates for Your Diary
Lockdown 3 kicked in after just one day’s teaching at the music school back on January 4th. Since then it’s been another massive achievement for all our tutors and students to keep us buzzing online throughout Lockdown 3.
Events this term included an excellent Instagram Live keeping up the variety, high standards and wonderful support that have come to typify these events. We also had the biggest Video Week of all time that was so popular it turned out to be a Video Fortnight. It was such a pleasure to see so many of our students playing and a great debut for those who’d never played “live” before.
Our new events for the term included an awesome Fancy Dress Week and more recently and very excitingly, our first ever Improvisation Week. I feel sure we’ll be running both these events again in the not too distant future! Thanks to everyone who took part for making this an online term to remember.
Last but not least the Three Little Birds collaborative video project was a resounding success and we even hit the headlines in the Sheffield Telegraph.
After teaching ends on the evening of Thursday 1st April we’ll be breaking up for the easter holidays and reopening on Friday 16th April for the new term.
From 16th April all the tutors will be back working at the music school. We’re very much looking forward to seeing everyone again in real life for face to face lessons, (but if anyone needs to continue with online lessons a little longer that’s fine, just let us know.) We also can’t wait to hear all the bands and group lessons filling the building with sound once again from the Big Room!
As before we’ll have all the safety measures in place at the music school and it’ll be just as important as ever that we all keep to the health and safety rules.
Thanks to everyone for your continued commitment and loyalty to the music school throughout this term.
Have a great Easter and see you at the music school soon!
