35th Birthday Concert
AS Music School’s 35th Birthday Bash was a huge success! 🎶🎉
AS Music School celebrated its 35th birthday in style with a hugely successful concert last Saturday afternoon. We turned our car park into a vibrant outdoor venue, including a stage for all our performers, a dance floor for our enthusiastic audience, and several refreshment stalls. It was a dream come true to see our car park transformed into a buzzing event full of live music and community spirit! The weather also held out for the duration of the concert, which added to the success!
The concert showcased a diverse range of high-quality performances: many talented and creative student musicians, including a student-composed original song; crowd-pleasing sets from our established folk and ukulele ensembles; and even a few heartwarming tutor performances. The talent and passion of our students was on full display throughout the event: it was inspiring to see the next generation of musicians blossoming at AS Music School.
We had over 100 people in attendance for the concert, making for an excellent turnout! All proceeds from the tickets will be used as the founding donation towards a social enterprise which the school is in an advanced stage of setting up. The aim of this enterprise is to support individuals who want to learn an instrument but are unable to do so due to their circumstances. Thank you to everyone who attended, for allowing us to not only celebrate the running of AS Music School for 35 years, but also for supporting us in setting this up!
We also want to say a huge thank you to Mr Daley’s Cafe (Instagram and Facebook) and Baked 28 Sheffield (Instagram and Facebook) for joining us and really adding to the occasion by providing us and our audience with a fabulous range of food and drink refreshments.
